people...

We need to learn how to apologize. We need to learn how to set ourselves aside and just say “I am wrong.”

There is a student of mine that has been giving me a little bit of a hard time. And he put himself aside and apologized.
And I feel so convicted because really it was kind of both of us being stubborn, I guess, but I think it was mostly cultural differences and things of that matter. And also the feelings of having some foreigner walk on your turf. (their turf im walking on and teaching on)
But regardless of weather he thought he was right, he apologized and set himself aside so that we could move on.
How often can you say you’ve done that?
He told me He was sorry and Said “Im going to change” Sometimes in a situation, we need to change in order to move on from something weather we think its right or not. By all means, Stand for what’s right, but if you find that what you think is right doesn’t line up with what Gods will is, Change so that you can Follow Him and Him alone.

- It’s not our job to be right, but to do what’s right. –

Take some time reading Philippians. There are some amazing things in there, especially if we tune* our hearts to what it says.

*(come thou fount.

“Come, thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace.
Streams of mercy, never ceasing call for songs of loudest praise
Teach me some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above…“

That’s why its one of my favorite hymns. Ohh boy I could keep going on that whole song… but im not. We will do that another time….
Ohh! Heres a thought, what if we actually started to think about what we were singing every Sunday… nahhh…. Its more fun to just sing with the large group of other clueless “it only happens once a week, Holy Day Saints.” )

So anyway, teaching is going well. I got some schedule stuff figured out… so I’m in good shape.

i didnt get to post a picture from the childrens hom the other day so here it is. oh and one from last week of me playing drum set with a rain coat on... haha =)
