Hello, thanks for checking out my Blog. cats.

Hello everyone! This is the first post of my new journey to Uganda!
So, with that in mind, im very excited to let you all be a part of everything that goes on and I wanted to humbly thank everyone who donated money to help me and my sister get there!

Its about two days away that my sister Haley and I are going to get on the plane and with much pensiveness our hearts long to be there. Its a really amazing thing when a brother and sister share the same feeling. Most of the time brothers and sisters dont relate on many things, but I am more than excited to do ministry with her, in the last few years she has become an amazingly godly girl, far surpassing her age.

She went to Uganda in 2011 and the last time I went was in 2008. So for me its been awhile, even though it feels like it wasn't but maybe a year ago that I went, so im excited to see how we both relate to whats happening and because we have different experiences we can fill each other in on the different things we notice about culture and other things of that nature.

This will be an amazing opportunity to step out of the normal routine of life and serve God with all that I am! And its not that thats our reasoning for going, to shake things up, but rather that we are being obedient to the call of Christ and because we have made small dents over in Africa, and the Lord used those dents and made it so that later we would make larger dents not in the physical sense, but spiritually, that our unique characteristic that the Father put inside us from his own infinitely good character would only serve to show more of who God is. That is Obedience, that is what it means to let God work through us! That is why I am so excited to work alongside Haley. I get to see her working for the Lord in a way I havent been able to before- that obedience, that causes us to listen to the Spirit of God, that obedience, that causes us to Love in the way God loves, not with doves and hearts or with or with empty cultural gestures, but with the opposite of apathy*, a genuine yearning to show people that they are not limited to simply hearing of what God does but instead in unity of heart take notice of the beautiful counselor that was given to us after Jesus died for us, The spirit of God that lets us experience the heart of the Father and there is nothing greater than that.

Before I go, here's an old picture of me to the left and and even older picture of me when I used to study sumo wrestling to the right. I have fond feeling of that picture as it reminds me how wonderful those times were in LA.

From the Sheep who is sick two days before his trip to africa and really needs prayer, who once was a pig who lived in LA,
