hello everyone. i think it was time i told you what im actually doing.
ok so, heres my weekly schedule right now.

Mon. Wed. Thurs.
9:30am Private lesson. mostly consisting of music theory with some other stuff including guitar.
11:00am class at the bible college.
12:30 lunch till 1
1:00pm private lesson till 2:30 (or 3 it depends)Usually consisting of more drum set and other things. weve gone far in theory.
3pm to about 7pm several pivate lessons. although sometimes they dont happen...(ie people dont show up. )

yeah... thats those days.

Tues.
A full day at the childrens home. i teach music theory (one of my favorite parts of the week because these kids are sooo bright...)

Sat.
around 8am we go to the childrens home to teach music theory till about 1pm and then i come back and at 2 i go the the church to teach music theory to the youth choir and how to sing correctly and things of that matter till about 5 or 6 or 6:45 or just 6...

Sun.
8:30am go to church and set up drums and play in the service at the times of worship and praise. then church ends at 1:30pm.
then at 3pm come back to church and teach theory( if they show up on time... people are very bad about those things here... specified times are not followed all the time...)

heres a little bit of information about who im staying with. Pastor morris is the sr. pastor of the church and overseer of most of the churches in the area (he's planted about 70 something churches... pretty awesome... he is extreamly humble and one of the most wonderful people to talk to. very loving, very relaxed, and listens when you talk). Mama Idah is my mother away from home and wife to pastor morris
she takes very good care of me and makes sure what im eating is ok for me to eat( which by the way, the food has been awesome!) and makes sure that i dont lose things that are important.

its been alot of fun living here and its been a real blessing to be here in this church.

i want you all to pray for jared. he is one of my best students. I want you to pray that he may be able to learn and understand as much as he can and i want you to pray for him to continue to have the will and passion for music he does right now. he needs alot of encoragement. there are some people here that put him down for teaching things other than just insturments(without theory) because they want to see results... really frustrateing and by the time i leave i am going to make it a point that learning music with out learning music theory is like shooting an arrow when your blind. "well... i guess this is how it goes... uhhh... i dont understand why it goes like this but i guess thats ok" or " i think im going to sing and make songs that have awkwared phrase changes that change every so often and blame the keybordest for not following me."

haha yeah... anyway... before i keep going on... i absolutely love teaching and though oppisition comes in different forms, whats life with out oppisition? are we doing our job as christians if we are going with the world? remember that we are set apart by Jesus' blodd and that because of that we should come to serve and not to be served.

well. this is the first time ive actually tried to make my pictures smaller. so we will see how fast it goes. (these are from saturday. first at the childrens home then teaching the youth choir. )

I hope that you all are having a wonderful week. also. the pictures uploaded faster than meow mix. say thanks to my brother chad. haha who sugessted that i make the images smaller. sweedish.

the sheep who like to go away from the heard but with in my shepherds sight,

wow I didn't realize how many posts you've had since I last read

Ohh, cool pictures. Wow, you seem to be keeping quite busy. It's so neat how musical knowledge is spreading to people all around the world. And when you leave there, there will be even more people there to spread the goodness to others. It's a domino effect!

One of the verses I read recently that has kept coming up in my mind this week is Philippians 2:3-4 (really all of ch 2) about humbly regarding others as more important than yourself and looking out for others' interests rather than self. And serving in humbleness like Christ. I think you are a good example of this and understand it well. It's been an interesting time trying to implement it here heh.. but very rewarding.

I'm actually having a pretty good week so far. I hope yours is well too =)
