Hello everyone! I know its been a few days since I posted. When I got here I found out there wasn’t any internet I could hook up to (well… that’s still to be inquired.) haha anyway. I just wanted to tell you all that im safe and sound. I just wanted to say how thankful I am to be here. It realy blows my mind how God worked in all of this!
Ok, so the first night I was here I was picked up by Ida with all my boxes and luggage and we proceeded to drive all the way from Entebbe to Kampala and stayed over night in Kampala before we made our drive to Mbale which is where I am now. I have some pictures from there too. The next day I ended up waking up at like 5:30 and waiting till around 8 o’clock to have break fast at the Hostel I was staying in. After that we left around 9 o’clock. From then on we drove all the way to Morris and Idas House in Mbale(which is quite nice. I really like it!) I have some pictures from that too. (I don’t know how the pictures are going to “layout” since im typing on my computer and not on Blogger.com… but hey they’re pictures nonetheless. =) )
For some reason I tend to wake up early on a consistent basis I guess its like at home. But here I end up waking up at 6 regularly as opposed to 7:45 to 8:45.
Anyway, yesterday I went all around Mbale and met a few students of mine which I was awesome, I went to the children’s home too and met Jared another one of my students! Quite awesome! Im super excited to be here and im loving every minuet of it. Unfortunately the muffin man forgot to tell me to bring my camera so I didn’t get any pictures but hey im here for almost three months!! Ill have plenty. =)
Dost thou Know How art thee?
Yep, yay for randomness. Oh by the way its still early.

I was reading in Matthew last night in chapters 8 through around 16 Kind of randomly(somehow I thinki skipped a few pages while turning pages so I ended up reading mostly around chapters 12 through 16 or 17. Yeah, random. But anyway) and I remember reading about Jesus talking to his disciples about the parable of the yeast of the pharisees and sadducees in chapter 16 (in chapter 13:33 is where he tells the crowed of people first… his disciples tend to ask him awhile after Jesus tells these parables.)
So, Jesus says in verses (of ch.16) 5 “be careful “ Jesus said, “ Be on your guard against the yeast of the Of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
Then the Disciples said, “it is because we did not bring any bread”
Then Jesus pretty much slaps his forhead and is like… no not bread, you morons!! False teaching!! I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. I think it just shows that the disciples wernt some elite group of law learned and extremely knowledgeable men. These were simple regular people. The only thing that set them apart from other people was (one, they rolled with Jesus) the fact that they had faith enough to follow Jesus and leave behind everything they had.

Another thing I came across was, in ch. 14 Herod (a kind of governor in the roman empire ruling over that area) Kills John the Baptist which makes Jesus quite sad.
Ch 14 v. 13 “ When Jesus heard what had happened he withdrew by boat to a solitary place”
And then when crowds of people heard this they followed him at the shore. And jesus feeling the way he did had enough compassion and Love in him that he Fed FIVE THOUSAND people. And after that he in verses’ 22-32 dismisses the crowed and Goes to the mountain side to pray, his disciples then go into the boat and are already a considerable distance into the water when Jesus just walks to them on water. Meanwhile, the Disciples see him waking towards him and are kinda freaked out by this, calling him a ghost and Jesus says (V. 27)“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” Then Peter said Jesus if its you tell me to come on the water, and then Jesus says “come” and peter walked on water and then began to sink because he was afraid and says “lord! Save me!!”. And Jesus says (v. 31)”You of little faith.” “why did you doubt?”
How do you interpret the way Jesus replys to peter? I see it like this, peter is like a child comeing to see his father when he gets scared and then asks his father to save him and then Jesus says with a lot of Love, child, im here your safe why did you doubt me?
Has there been a time when you have acted like this? Do you know that Jesus says that we are apart of his family if we trust in him?
Check this out Matthew chapter 12: 48-50 “ He replied to him, ‘who is my mother and who are my brothers?’ pointing to his disciples, he said, ‘ here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.’ “

Jesus had feelings. And I think we forget that. Do you think he would want a relationship if he didn’t? is Love not a feeling?
I challenge you to take a look at your faith with Christ and try to understand deep down that Christ really and truly loves us with a real genuineness and heart.
I challenge you to let your wall down to God and to recognize that God is our Loving father Who has more love than we could imagine. A Real Love in which the deepest of meanings reaches us. Not a casual love that has been thrown around here and there stripped of its meaning. Use Love with more reverence and take this to heart more.
